Discrimination – What are You doing?

Discrimination – What are You doing?

I frequently engage with a number of employees in a range of industries. I’m always interested to find out how they feel they are treated by their managers and fellow employees.

What stands out in those conversations are those companies who take discrimination seriously. The answers of employees from these companies suggest they feel:

  • Well informed on the company policy
  • Time has been taken to explain to them
  • Policies have been reinforced through training
  • Complaints have been managed effectively
  • Management have sufficient training to to match the requirements of their roles
  • They know and understand how they should and shouldn’t behave
  • They know how to embrace and work with differences within the workplace.

If you are not comfortable with how your employees might respond when asked how they feel they are treated in the workplace, perhaps its time to have HR Central see how they can assist in making your workplace free from all forms of discrimination.
